Where we are — contact us to arrange a visit!
Our club building is in the grounds of the Adelaide Tramway Museum at St Kilda, 22 km north of the Adelaide CBD and a good fast run up Port Wakefield Road, turning off at St Kilda Road.

On Sundays and public holidays the tram museum is open with a huge number of exhibits, and free tram rides are included in the entry ticket. Other things for families, including the best children’s adventure playground in South Australia, a walk that showcases flora and fauna within the mangrove forest, and a pleasant pub that serves good meals, are just down the road.

However, our clubrooms aren’t yet open to the public — we don’t currently have any model railway items on display — because our two main layouts are still in the early days of construction. Usually, the tram museum is closed when we are there. But if you would like to arrange a visit, please get in touch and we’ll be delighted to welcome you at a mutually convenient time, show you the layouts, and talk trains!

As a small club, we only hold a few formal meetings during the year: most of the time we just get together and enjoy the simple pleasures of railway modelling.

Member Paul Willis has relocated his full-size 1924 vintage Queensland Railways ‘Evans’ passenger car next to our building. Here’s Paul’s blog about restoring the carriage; it has also been featured in a ‘Building Ideas’’ TV program.
